Golf Event Helps Save Greyhounds

GREYHOUNDSNo other sport has come up with as many ways to give back to our society as golf. A perfect example is the 1st Annual Greyhound Golf Challenge to benefit Midwest Greyhound Adoption. All golfers who participate in this unique event on Friday July 6, 2012 in Bristol, Illinois will be helping save hundreds of former racing greyhounds who need assistance.

The goal of this golf outing is to raise funds to increase the number of dogs Midwest Greyhound Adoption can accommodate either by taking into their own organization or by helping to transport to other greyhound adoption groups. Right now Midwest Greyhound Adoption can comfortably care for about 20 dogs, but there are hundreds more that need immediate assistance.

You can play in the Greyhound Golf Challenge, pledge money towards a golfer, or donate directly towards the cause at the event website. Golfers who receive the most pledges could win great prizes including Nike golf shoes, Callaway drivers or even a full set of Callaway or Taylor Made irons.

Help support this terrific cause today by visiting the Greyhound Golf Challenge website. Events like this are why golf is truly the game that gives for a lifetime.
